Youth Ministry & Leadership Teams – High School Kids…want to be accepted and have a feeling of belonging??? Want to be Full members of the Parish Community?

Join one of our Leadership teams: Junior High LT, Outreach LT, Youth Task Force, Motivational Speaker.

There are many Leaders, some quiet and some not so quiet, we plan on bringing everyone’s gifts together to plan and organize events for, by, and with our High School students!

The Leadership Teams are comprised of a core group of High School students that will plan and organize various events and activities for the Youth of the Parish and community.

These activities and events will come from the students with the support of adults.

Youth Group Calendar of Events

  • Saturday, May 19th and Sunday, May 20th: St. John Bosco Spring Fling – Volunteers are needed. Contact Peggy McAndrew at 956-7094.
  • Sunday, May 20th: 9:00 AM – Main Street, Conyngham – Human Food Chain: Volunteers are needed. Refreshments to follow. Meet at United Methodist Church on Main Street and we will end at the Christ United Church of Christ, where the food pantry is located. Please bring a can or two of food. Contact Pam Ceol at 406-8989.
  • Sunday, May 20th: 12:30 PM – St. John Bosco/Good Shepherd Youth Group Meeting at St. John Bosco: Come join us! We will be planning events!
  • July 17: Annual Light the Fire Youth Rally – Watch for details.

The N’ap Danse Marathon

The N’ap Danse Marathon, which was originally scheduled for Friday, April 20th, had to be rescheduled. The new date will be announced in the near future. Watch for upcoming flyers and join us for all-night fun.

Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity

Our youth will be making their annual journey to West Virginia to participate in the Habitat for Humanity Program. We will leave from NE PA on Sunday, July 21 and return on Saturday, July 27, 2012. The cost of the trip is $355 per person. All spots have been reserved for our combined group of Good Shepherd, St. John Bosco, and St. Mary. Names are being taken for a waiting list. Deadline for final payment and reservations is June 14, 2012. Please call Molly at 868-5855 or 262-4628 for paperwork and/or information.

New Members Welcome

The Combined St. John Bosco/Good Shepherd Youth Group welcomes all students in grades 7 through 12 to join us in our activities. We combine faith, fun, and friendship with service to others. For more information, call or text Peggy McAndrew at 956-7094 or Pam Synoski at 401-4109.
