good shepherd: Community
Bingo at Good Shepherd Church Hall
Bingo is held every Tuesday Evening. Doors open at 5:00 PM; games start at 6:00 PM. Food and refreshments are available.
We have a brand new Progressive game. Payout starts at $400 and increases by $50 each week until won.
Please be sure to check out our new Early Bird game!
Thank you to all our Bingo workers for making our weekly Bingo a success!
Breakfast
Thanks to all who worked the breakfast this past Sunday, and those who also were involved in preparations on Friday. I know many who worked the breakfast were disappointed with the low turnout of 175. People who work all week and give a good part of their free time on Sunday, as well as retired seniors who are willing to give of their leisure time, certainly have a right to be unhappy with the sparse turnout. We certainly hope the trend of low turnouts is soon reversed.
Car Raffle
We are around the 275 mark of tickets sold for the car raffle. We thank all those who already purchased tickets and encourage those who have not to consider buying one or sharing the purchase of a ticket with a friend or friends. In addition to our choice of cars, there are two $500 prizes and 15 $200 ones. Tickets will be available in the rear of the church after all Masses. The car winner has the choice of a Chevrolet Cruze or Subaru Imprezza from Fairway.

Attention Golfers…and Tennis Players!
Mark your calendars and save this date, Sunday, May 20, 2012, for the 6th annual Good Shepherd Golf Classic to be held at The Sand Springs Golf & Country Club. This year’s event will add a tennis challenge for our non-golfing friends.
Registration and sponsorship forms for golf will be available in the rear of the church. See Fr. McHugh directly for the tennis forms. We prefer that you register as a foursome. Court time will be in 1-1/2 hour timeframes.
Also, we need a few volunteers to help our committee get things organized. If you would like to help, contact Erin in the parish office at 788-3141 or contact our tournament director, Chuck Jumpeter, at 788-6760.
Students for Golf Tournament
We could use 6 or more students to act as validators for the 2 prize holes at the golf tournament. Tell Joe Yamulla or Fr. McHugh if you want to act in that capacity. Food and soda will be provided for those students assisting with the tournament.
Golf Tournament Hole in One
For a hole in one on the 17th hole, the prize will be a two-year lease on a Buick Verano from the Berger Family Dealership.
Spring Fling at St. John Bosco
Spring Fling at St. John Bosco will be held on Saturday, May 19th from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Activities include a flea market, bake sale, and tricky trays. Breakfast and lunch food will be available for sale along with homemade haluski takeouts.
